west virginia university!

welcome to ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) wvu a game set in (you guessed it) morgantown west virginia! why set it here, you ask? because it seems that there is a pattern of where games are set and this pattern isn't stretched very far apart from california and new york city. this being said, your mods have thought it would be rather nice to set a game somewhere no one has dared touch foot yet and why not do it in the number one party school, west virginia university? home of the mountaineers, whos colors are a wondrous blue and gold. while this game is set in a college town your character is not just limited to being a student. in fact, people don't always live in morgantown for just college, meaning your character is more than welcome to be a native to the town, a student, or anything you want so long as their home is in morgantown.
while wvu is known for being the number one party school, for its infamous tag line of burning couches, that is not all that it is renowned for! it is also known for the football team (though not to ignore soccer, baseball, and basketball!), the prestigious hospital known as the ruby memorial hospital and it's work in cancer research. the school offers degrees in arts and sciences, business and economics, creative arts, engineering, education, journalism, law, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, among many others! whether you're here for the party lifestyle and to partake in the burning couches activities, or here for the education, you're bound to walk away with a lifetime of experiences and stories for years to come.
as for the rules, they're just like any other game's rules. don't cross ic/ooc and if you're caught doing so you'll first be warned and then removed if it happens again. that is one thing your mods will not tolerate over most things, as it goes hand in hand with immaturity. update limits are to be every three weeks with something substantial meaning no one word, one sentence entries. at least two paragraphs minimum. when picking your pb make sure it is age appropriate, and please don't be cliche with your character since most in this game will be from west virginia. west virginia has the worst reputation amongst all the other states in america and the mods cannot stress enough how annoying it is to be looked at as inbred, uneducated dumb fucks. please do not do this with your character. if you're going to do anything adult such as rape, suicide, murder and such please clear it with the mods first so we know what is going on with your characters. also, we're gonna have to go out on a pretty treacherous limb here and say that yes we are going to judge based on icons. why? well, because bad icons are not only hard to decipher sometimes, but also a large turn off for a lot of communities and we feel they won't belong here. with all of that said all the rules are pretty cleared up. if you have any questions be sure to let us know in the screened post.

when applying make sure your journal is ic meaning some variation of their name in the un, as is with the aim sns as well. please no extra words, numbers, underscores or x's because we feel they look rather tacky. while setting up your journal please include a story lines post/scene requests entry and a friends only entry before applying. when accepted, your introduction is to be within the first three days of joining and your first entry is within two weeks, after that your are to update every three weeks! we will be basing whether or not we will be accepting your applications on your examples but please do not pm them and instead post them in the screened post or in your character's journal. please have wvu added as a friend incase anything is locked to your journal and request membership before you're accepted.
